ABOUT OUR COVER

CUTOVER COVER by Texas artist John P. Cowan

"Michigan grouse hunting is for young, athletic, gung-ho athletes; for grouse love dense, tangled underbrush. The best areas are solid walls of vegetation floored with criss-crossing limbs and stumps. I had a hard time keeping up with dogs I couldn't see and hunters I could only hear. We found one bird in a clearing, so I could see the whole scene for my painting, "Cutover Cover'." CUTOVER COVER is a limited edition print available from Collectors Covey, Dallas, TX, (214) 630-4981.
