ABOUT OUR COVER
Timberdoodle by Nancy Howe
Timberdoodle reflects the tremendous eye for detail of Vermont artist Nancy Howe, who in 1990 became the first woman to win the federal duck stamp contest. To capture the intricate plumage, Howe went through three study birds. The fallen leaves were gathered from a thicket frequented by woodcock on the sheep farm that she shares with her two sons and husband Jim Russell. For limited edition, 7 by 9 inch prints of Timberdoodle, contact: Triple Jump Studio, 3916 Mad Tom Road, East Dorset, VT 05253.
