"For some years, my wife Delphie and I lived in Arizona in the winter months. We had Gambel's quail in our back yard daily and enjoyed watching both male and female with their offspring. They would bring the entire family up for a drink of water from a shallow pool we had put in. But to get type habitat for this species, I chose an area in the southern part of the state just north of Ajo."
